Vegan wagashi (Japanese sweets) from Kyoto:
- Nama Yatsuhashi “hijiri”- rice flour and cinnamon triangles with red bean filling. Many other flavours are available like matcha, black sesame, peach, mikan and more.
- Baked Yatsuhashi “8 bridges”. Cinnamon and matcha flavoured crunchy rice biscuits.
- Mizu ame (starch syrup) sweets. They are so cute!
Yum Yum! Now I have to learn how to make yatsuhashi and we can enjoy them all the time, even back home
