Week 3 Preparing the site for footings

19 01 2015

Even though we had planned the build with minimal site disturbance and changing of levels in mind (the house was designed to match the contour of the block, with 2 levels separated by a couple of steps in order to meet the upward slope as you progress down the block) there still seems to be much work in preparing the site and getting the right levels. Kangarilla Earthworks invited mum and dad on site and let them know that they removed some soil and brought in dolomite.

They even have a site office sign now. Cute.

2 big trucks in the street - one for carrying the bobcat, one for carrying away the soil.

Did they close the street or was it for something else?
